Our Mission
Since 1998, Whitehead & Associates Educational Consulting has worked with K–12 schools to provide consultation, strategic planning, and training in all aspects of school improvement. Our mission is to assist schools in improving student learning and achievement in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment.

Bios
Terri Whitehead has created professional development opportunities on curriculum development, assessment, professional development, and many instructional strategies including technology. She's been an educator for over 20 years as a former classroom teacher, library media specialist, and state DOE consultant.

Joanne Martin focuses on helping schools and teachers to improve student learning by effectively implementing and integrating technology into the curriculum. Her 34 years of experiences include the classroom, consulting, and professional development for software companies.

  

Our Philosophy
We create all adult learning opportunities using core principles of professional development design. Just like your younger students, your faculty must be engaged and be able to see how the content relates to them—specifically to their teaching.

As consultants, we believe that an ongoing relationship with any school or district is essential.

Your faculty will learn basic skills in software and hardware, but we also want to help them implement those skills, demonstrate proficiency, and have time to follow-up and evaluate their own learning. We encourage small group learning and suggest that teachers are given access to online communication tools, such as e-mail and distance learning, for follow-up.
